It is with sadness that I have to inform you all, many of whom I assume are fans of the amazing Mindmistress, that my long-time friend Al Schroeder has passed away. He had been suffering from Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disorder that affects voluntary muscle movement. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday. The work I did on Crossoverlord with Al Schroeder comprised two of the most amazing years I spent doing this crazy webcomic thing. Al and I approached writing from two very different perspectives. I was style and he was substance. I was sensational while he was cerebral. It made quite a pairing. It led to a lot of creative arguments, but in the end, that dynamic helped create one of the biggest webcomic events ever, and I'll always be proud of what we did. When Mindmistress and Dasien spoke to each other, it was like Al and me. Getting on each other's nerves. Arguing. Making fun of each other.
